Bunch Rides

The Club hosts a number of regular bunch rides which leave from our meetup point at the ANU Union Court Bridge (with the exception of some gravel rides).

Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to stay up to date with our rides.

  • Wednesday Wasabi – A mid-week ride through the north of Canberra.
  • Gravelsabi – The second Wednesday and last Wednesday of every month we go off-road! The road Wasabi runs as usual.
  • Friday Norman – The Club’s signature bunch ride that caters for all comers from A Grade semi-pros to cruisy coffee rides.
  • Sunday PRODA long Sunday road ride, normally with 2 bunches and coffee after.
  • Women’s social ride – First Tuesday of each month we hold an introductory get to know you ride for women and non-binary riders.

For insurance purposes, you need an AusCycling Race or Lifestyle licence to participate in club bunch and training rides. For more information visit our Membership page

Bunch etiquette

If you are new to bunch riding, read our bunch riding tips. The rules are:

  • Communicate, especially hazards and turns!
  • Everyone is there to help each other.
  • No-one gets left behind (unless you are in the fast groups).
  • You can hammer it as hard as you want for the sprints or designated hill climbs, but we always regroup afterwards.
  • Sprint safely – hold your line and be smooth. Don’t cross to the other side of the road.
  • Obey the road rules – safety always comes before anything else.

New riders are always welcome. Just turn up and introduce yourself so the ride leaders can have a bit of a chat with you about how it all works. See you there!
